Proverbs 3:23-Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
We all have our own path to walk. Within this path is a choice to take the narrow path or the broad path. The narrow path is righteousness that leads to a fulfilling life. The broad path is one of sin that leads to spiritual death. If we take heed to God's way, we will indeed walk safely. As you all have observed, every day danger lurks. There are many temptations that the devil lays before us. There is no safety on that road. Yet in the word of God there are many warning signs. As when we drive around town we see many signs for our safety: stop, yield, men working, kids playing, ect... So do we have these signs in the word of God. It says do this or don't do that. These signs are there not just for our safety but for the safety of others as well. It's a terrible thing to stumble around in life. Sometimes we can catch ourselves, yet other times we fall down flat. I'd rather stay upright. As the professional runner once said, "the number one rule in running is, don't get dead." Yes, we want to be active, press forward, be a blessing in the kingdom, to do this precautions must be taken to stay upright. May we all do it God's way the rest of the week, that we stumble not.
In Christ,
