Proverbs 2:21- For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
It seems that the Lord honors good behavior. In previous verses, the topic of avoidance was at hand. We know that the love of God constraineth us (2nd Cor 5:14). When a land loves God, they strive to avoid ungodliness. The land is Gods and the upright shall dwell there. The perfect, or complete, remains. Even in a fallen world it is possible for the children of God to deny their flesh and serve the living God. Now we can concern ourselves with the country, the state, the community, and even the church; which we should to a certain degree. But the primary concern when it comes to holiness is to concern yourself with yourself. May the land stay holy and may God continue to allow us to dwell here.
In Christ,
