Quiet from Fear of Evil
Quiet from Fear of Evil

Quiet from Fear of Evil

Proverbs 1:33- But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

So now, at the end of the chapter, the remedy is given for being safe from evil. That remedy is to listen to and obey. Evil is ever around us, that is why the word "hearkeneth" is used. The word means whoever is listening and obeying. Now we all fall into periods of disobedience or we close our ears to the things of the Lord. Be it known when this happens, we leave an open place for the enemy to strike. Therefore, we must do our best to always be hearkening unto God.

When we are in this state, we live safely. O what a place to be! Safe with Jesus. We rest in him and our fears melt away. Remember, God has not given us the spirit of fear. When we are in a constant state of fearing the evil that is around us, it is because we are not listening and obeying God. When we are listening and obeying, we step out into the world fearless. Ready for what God has in store for us that day. What a verse I say. What a verse to ever keep in mind and what a way to end the first chapter of Proverbs!

In Him,
