Proverbs 3:33- The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
Observation sometimes takes patience. When one has turned from God, all may seem well at first. Yet, those that would continue with wicked behavior will eventually reap what they sow. As would those that would try to live righteously. God blesses the just. In this context it seems those that are under consideration are those that are justified by their works in the sight of others. They have been obedient to the Lord and in return, their house is blessed.
The same goes for the dwelling places of this world. There are many bars, clubs, entertainment venues etc.... that we could spend our time. Yet we know what goes on at these places. It's anything but godliness. Yet when we come into the Lord's house, we have fellowship with Christ, fellowship with the saints, a place of safety and refuge from the wickedness of the world. We know which is better. May we always cultivate our homes to where the Lord is honoured and spend much time in the Lord's habitation, gathered with his people, and praising his holy name.
In Christ
