Great in the Land of Egypt
Great in the Land of Egypt

Great in the Land of Egypt

Exodus 11:3- And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

We know that even in the midst of a wicked nation that God will be with his own. Egypt, often representing sin and wickedness, is a place in which God's people would go through many trials but even in this, God was with them. Moses, being a type of Christ, was also great in the land. The people had recognized that the Lord was with Moses during the first nine plagues. We see too that even as Christ was rejected in many cases, the people's reaction to him did not diminish his greatness. The case is the same today. Many do not recognize the greatness of Christ but that does not make him any less great. It took the Egyptians plague after plague to see how the Lord was with Moses, how much do we have to see to give honour and glory to Christ? Hasn't he already blessed us beyond all that we can ask or think? He deserves to be honored. Yes, he deserves to be honoured even in the presence of those who have the most authority; as they would honor Moses in front of Pharaoh's servants. May we honour the Christ this day publicly but not only this day, in the days to come as well.
