Proverbs 2:9- Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
When shall we understand these things? We must refer back to verse one to understand when this will occur. Proverbs 2:1- My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee. This is when we will understand righteousness. This is when we will understand Jesus, for he is our righteousness (Jer 23:6). Righteousness then is not subjective, it is concrete. What the Bible declares to be righteousness, this is righteous; and who Christ is, is righteousness. If we receive the word of God we understand proper judgment, for it is ok to judge righteously (John 7:24). When we receive the word of God we understand equity. God is no receptor of persons. He is not for oppression. God has always been a God of freedom and he always will be. There is a straight and narrow path. Is it possible to walk perfectly, no. But can we be on it from time to time? Yes. When we are on this path, we are blessed. May we all strive to keep our feet on it.
In Christ,
