Proverbs 1:10- My, son, if sinners entice thee, consent thought not.
Certainly there is enough sinning that goes on internally and without help from others. Yet, there is more sinning to be had when others provoke it. When this occurs, we are told to not consent; or give permission to. How do we do this? As the old saying goes, "just say no", is an option. Not matter who the person is: friend, family member, co-worker, etc..... we do not and should not give consent to the sinner and his ways. Another option is to avoid those that would entice us. Recognize the ungodly and avoid being bound to them. They will lead you astray more times than not. So then, if someone influences you in a sinful way in your day to day life, walk away. If someone influences you in a sinful way on what you see on their social media, look away. And if someone influences you in a sinful way by what you hear from them, close your ears to it, and bring your attention to the Lord, his word, and what he would have you to do.
Ephesians 5:11- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
