Proverbs 3:26- For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Confidence seems to be a hot topic these days. There are books written about it, podcasts cover it, and social media influencers discuss it constantly. The problem I see with most of the teaching is that it focuses on self confidence. Our confidence should not be in ourselves but in God. If we're honest, we know that even in our best state we are all together vanity. We need God to make it from day to day. We tend to focus on money, power, fitness, and other worldly attributes to keep us from falling but the truth is only our confidence in Christ can keep us from being taken. Doing life his way, according to his word, is where our protection lies. The more we do it his way, the more our confidence will grow in him. This is a process. Our confidence should grow in him as time goes by. He is good God. A friend in time of need. One who has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Be confident in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!
