Our Lord and savior is presently sitting on the right hand of the Father, having accomplished the will of His Father in purging the sins of His elect children given to his Him before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:20, Ephesians 1:4). Jesus Christ, the express image of the Father, the Word of God, the brightness of Father's glory, who upholds all things by the word of His power, gave Him an inheritance and a more excellent name than any name. There is no other name whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). One day this same Christ shall come and claim His inheritance. God’s chosen people will come forth from the graves to met Him in the air. Those of us who remain alive will also be changed and will meet the Lord in the air to forever to be with our savior (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). This is the main purpose of God the Father for sending His only begotten son to shed his blood and die on the cross some two thousand years ago. He is the substitute for those God chose to be heirs of this salvation. Our loving Father placed us in Christ, gave us spiritual life in the new birth, and by his power over death made us a new creation in Christ our savior. The first man Adam did not obey his creator and brought death in trespasses and sin to all his offspring. God sent His Son to live a sinless life and fulfill God’s law on our behalf, securing for us the promise of being conformed to the the image of Christ.
