Esther 2:17- And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Well I've done it again in my own mind. Oftentimes when I think of some of the people in the Bible, I place them on a pedestal. When I've thought of Ester, I've thought of her as being the perfect woman and that is why the king chose her. Now the scripture does bare out some of her positive qualities but being queen is a high honor. In order for her to receive this honor, a measure of grace had to be dealt to her and that is exactly what the king gave.

Revelation 1:6- And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Grace has been bestowed upon us to receive the titles above. We have become kings and priests to God based on grace and grace alone. These titles have been given us by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ the righteous. What an honor it is to receive this measure of grace from our God, which far surpasses the grace the king gave to Ester.
